Over the past 24 hours, there has been a noticeable increase in signs of movement in Google Search rankings. Discussions within the SEO community have increased, while several tracking tools are also showing significant changes in ranking activity.
This has not been confirmed as an official Google update. However, Google does not confirm every change it makes to its search systems and usually only announces larger, planned updates.
As a reminder, the March 2026 Core Update began on March 27 and was completed on April 8, 2026.
The ongoing issue with pages being removed from Google’s index also continues. More websites are reporting a rise in pages marked as “Crawled – currently not indexed.”
There have also been several periods of unconfirmed ranking changes reported in recent months, including on May 8, April 27–28, and April 23.
