seo - Tips For Digital Marketing Agencies On Hiring The Right SEO Provider

When it comes to ensuring that your client’s needs are met, many digital agencies use external SEO providers in order to maintain efficient, reliable, and timely service without sacrificing the man-hours to do so. It also comes with a host of other benefits, but what happens when you don’t have the right SEO partner? Missed deadlines, ineffective copy, and SEO that simply does not convert.

At Globital, we are acutely aware of what it means to have a digital provider that supports your digital marketing agency – which is why that is exactly what we strive to be. Placing second in Australian Marketing Institutes’ 2020 Award for Customer Experience Management, we have crafted a relationship that best supports your needs as a digital agency.

How To Know You’ve Found The Right SEO Provider

Something like finding the Cinderella to fit your glass slipper, there are probably hundreds (if not more) SEO firms vying for your digital marketing agency’s attention that can easily be pulled up with a local Google search. Here’s the thing, simply appearing on your online search is not a good enough reason to hire an SEO partner that you will need to depend on with the success of your client’s marketing strategies.

According to an article in Forbes, grounds for hire should include a tactical needs list (decide what you need), multiple consultation comparisons, case studies and references, and a creative flair. “Spend time researching the SEO Agency, the clients they already work with and the types of employees working at the company. There are many skills required that are essential to your success, and you need to make sure that the Agency can facilitate your needs,” rightfully states

There is no one-size-fits-all SEO agency. Similarly, there is no magic wand that can guarantee that your provider will help your clients rank number one on all of their search terms. Instead, we recommend looking for an SEO agency that does not overpromise and can manage your agency’s goals and expectations realistically and effectively. “We are building you a spectacular monument” is still amazing even if it isn’t. “We are going to name every mountain after you”. See the difference?

We agree with, when they state, “Make sure that when you choose your SEO Agency, you understand the strategy and the techniques being used to achieve your online growth… So stay well clear of unnatural approaches to SEO or any marketing tactic for that matter. Make sure that the potential SEO Agency understands your business and can work with you openly in order to achieve your desired results. Asking them to pitch how they would approach your campaign will help you to see if they are the right agency for your business! Make sure that you get a detailed deliverable checklist for what is to be achieved from the campaign and how your money is going to be spent on the campaign.”

As a digital agency, we know that you’ve seen enough to know that you need an SEO partner that delivers and offers intuitive guidance, not empty promises of grandeur. Look for transparency, credibility and referrals from industry counterparts so that you can forge ahead on a sure footing.

Copy of Experience Marketing Excellence Virtual Finalist Event GIF 4 - Globital Awarded Second Place At The 2020 AMI Awards In The Customer Experience Category

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) recently awarded Globital second place in the Customer Experience category for Queensland at the AMI 2020 awards. It is a great honour for us at Globital to be acknowledged amongst our industry counterparts for excellent marketing practices that benefit our clients.

This year’s award is particularly meaningful for the organisation because it recognises the significant internal strategic improvements that have been successfully implemented over the past 18 months, to enhance the experience that our customers are receiving from their resource partner.

Damian Papworth, Managing Director at Globital, said, “Our Customer Experience Campaign, was designed to improve client retention and revenue growth by nurturing and encouraging trust between our teams and the digital agencies that we support. We created and systemised a cycle that collected feedback, interpreted issues and implemented resolutions in a manner that was demonstrable to those agencies.”

The first step in our three-pronged approach was the achievement of the globally recognised ISO certification for Quality Assurance. This certification was critical because it represents our pledge to assure all our clients that they will get the same level of excellence in customer experience every time should they partner with us at Globital.

The next step was the implementation of the Online Customer Service Support team and function that runs independently from the Globital Operations team. The role of this team is to provide ongoing problem-solving support to agencies on their projects, outcomes and expectations.

The final step was the introduction of the Net Promoter Score Program to our Customer Services Support team. This step enables our research and development team to get a direct line of feedback from our customers. With this feedback from our customers, we can continuously improve our product offerings, customer services and execution of products.

Another one of the significant results of this campaign was the creation of a Facebook group called the Digital Marketing Dream Team – a group of like-minded digital agencies around the world that has been particularly instrumental in helping digital agency owners to navigate the unprecedented times brought on by Covid-19.

This year the AMI Awards were hosted as a virtual event that showcased the winners for 18 campaign categories and eight special awards.

“We are very excited and honoured as an organisation, to be recognised by such a distinguished institution for the hard work and commitment demonstrated by our team to deliver an experience that delights digital agencies and assists them to service their clients better,” Papworth concluded.

Globital has been recognised as one of the 3 finalists in the Australian Marketing Institutes’ 2020 award for Customer Experience Management.

We are particularly honoured to receive this award because it is issued in recognition of significant internal changes made within Globital. These internal efforts included the levelling up and deliberate improvement in the experience that customers, digital agency owners, and members of the industry, are receiving from their resource partner.

These very specific and strategic improvements, implemented over the past 12 – 18 months, set out to deliver an experience that delights digital agencies and assists them in helping them serve their clients better.

The Australian Marketing Institute is the industry authority that represents the entire marketing industry, including digital marketing interests.

Recognition Of Our Commitment To Our Customers

Over the past 18 months, Globital has implemented a three-pronged approach aimed at improving the experience that our clients have with us.

The first of these steps was the achievement of ISO certification, a globally recognised certification for Quality Assurance. This certification was critical to Globital because it was an external audit on the management of the delivery of the services we provide and the assurance of rigid adherence to processes in everything we do.

This certification gives agencies who use these services and products absolute confidence that they get what they pay for every single time and confidence that when they partner with Globital, they are serving their clients in the best possible way.

The second step was to implement an Online Customer Service Support team and function, run completely independently of the operations teams. Completion of this step resulted in a team of problem solvers who sorted out any problems with projects, outcomes, and expectations. The independence that this team functions under ensures that no ego is involved in the problem-solving process.

Finally, the Net Promoter Score program was introduced to the Customer Service Support team. This direct line of feedback from our customers into the research and development teams meant that continual improvement of products and the way that our teams go about service and execution of these products was assured.

One of the results of this campaign was the creation of a Facebook group called the Digital Marketing Dream Team. This core group of digital agencies is a community, gathering together to collaborate to solve industry problems. This community was especially helpful to digital agencies around the world during the COVID-19 crisis where we banded together and worked to help get everyone through the crisis effectively. This effort provided a top-down focus on what was going on in the industry, broadly as well as with a microfocus by having our partner coach, John Logar, facilitate daily clarity calls within the community to assist digital agencies.

Globital is extremely proud to be acknowledged by this agency body.

Globital has received it’s ISO 9001 certification. This ISO certification is a guarantee to the agencies that we support that they can have absolute confidence that they are teamed up with a resource partner who is supporting them with the best possible processes and adherence to quality standards.

The ISO 9001 certification involved a stringent external audit of our processes and management of the delivery of services. The issuing of the certification means that agencies can feel confident that they are getting what they pay for on every campaign and supporting their clients with the best possible digital marketing services.

The external ISO audit scrutinised our team’s processes, ensuring quality management, clearances of non-compliance and assurance that all efforts are made with predictability and consistency in mind.

While the Globital team, along with CEO Damian Papworth, are proud to announce this business milestone, the team is not celebrating just yet. “This accreditation forms part of a larger plan to surpass global standards as well as customer requirements set out in the quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015” explains Papworth. “We started an exploratory exercise three years ago to align ourselves with ISO 9001 best practice and from the moment we employed a quality assurance manager we set out pursuing what I called at that time, “a lofty vision”. Anticipating the needs and demands of our customers is something core to Globital’s mission as a resource partner. So, it follows that ISO certification was a logical step towards achieving this goal.”

“Now accredited, it is our job to raise the standards of all members of our teams and the professionals at large. From there, we will be able to lift the standards of marketing for all the agencies we support and clients we work with. So, as a long-term result, we lift the standard of excellence for our entire industry and beyond.”

The Globital team wishes to thank all of its clients, resource partners, work colleagues and all within its broad professional network who have helped and supported this process. The team encourages the industry as a whole to pursue ISO accreditation and to elevate their standards and quality.

Dubae 2018 - Senior Management Converge On Dubai For The Annual Managers Conference 2018

The month of October saw the annual Senior Management trip to Dubai to discuss the current and future prospects of Globital. During this corporate conference, with the aim of realigning the company, Managing Director Damian Papworth, Director of Operations in Pakistan Asjad Afzal and South Africa’s Director of Operations Steven Slotow broke down the current state of their respective operations in their countries, highlighting challenges and opportunities observed throughout the year in order to close in gaps and identify viable avenues for future success.

As senior managers, this conference is invaluable, not only to touch base with each other but more importantly, to develop and build sustainable strategies and goals that will build and strengthen internal operations as well as better understand the needs of our clients. The purpose of the conference was to unpack Globital’s corporate goals in a manner that allows management to dissect where we’re winning and where we can improve and better meet the expectations of our employees in order to succeed in delivering quality solutions for our clients.

Steven Slotow shared some insights into the copywriting aspects of the business. “Our South African team are all experienced in their skills. Having developed robust and scalable systems that help our writers improve their writing to achieve the desired outcomes for our clients has meant major improvements”. The development of this department has assisted in drawing up strategies for better briefing processes and turnaround times that highlight the promise of service delivery.

“The Pakistan team now comprises of just over 150 employees which poses a unique challenge”, indicated Asjad. “However, challenges are always a door of opportunities. This sizeable operation has allowed us to harness the notion of team effort and support the business in a variety of our offerings in an impactful way”. As a company that aims to drive service, support and success, the road into 2019 has never looked better.

With plans of seeing the bigger picture of Globital’s future, Damian reiterated the need to capture the essence of the company’s brand and identity. “ We are here to clarify our corporate goals and ensure that we meet the needs of our clients. In this, we will be heading into 2019 with a slightly different approach to our processes as well as in developing better strategies. The only way to do this is through two key elements; showing that agencies are not alone and that we are a community. As a global brand, we will continue standing for growth, leadership, accountability and driving success for all our clients.”

Adam Steen 3 - What Does Marketing & Freediving Have In Common?

The process of rebranding Globital is one of total rebirth and new opportunities for not just the resellers that the company supports, but also for the connections and relationships that we have built over the past few years.

One of these new connections that Globital is extremely proud to announce is its sponsorship of Australia’s top freediver, Adam Stern.

Globital MD Damian Papworth has a bit of experience with freediving himself and shares Adam’s passion for the sport. It’s this passion that led Damian to recognise the similarities between freediving and running a small business.

In the below video, Damian unpacks this not so subtle connection between freediving and running a small digital agency. In it, Damian explains how difficult and arduous freediving can be, bringing with it the pressures and sinking feelings of being overwhelmed and alone. Not so different to what many digital agency owners feel daily. Not a welcoming environment.

And just like Adam, explains Damian, in those moments we need to find that feeling of Zen and start performing at our peak, even though the weight of the world is on our shoulders.

We’re really excited to have Adam join the Globital family so that he can share the lessons and insights, that he has had during freediving, with our resellers so that they can get better at running their own businesses.
