It has been some time since I last covered changes in Google Search rankings, but I am now seeing signs that ranking fluctuations may be increasing again. Most of these signals are coming from SEO tracking tools, while the wider SEO community appears to be focused on other topics.
It is also important to remember that the March 2026 Core Update began on March 27 and finished rolling out on April 8, 2026.
The latest changes may still be developing, so it could take some time before their impact becomes clear across all websites.
So, what am I seeing?
The first signs are coming from the tracking tools. Some of them have adjusted their measurements in response to the continued high level of movement in Google Search rankings.
Google Tracking Tools

Wiredboard’s Aggregator of Tools – This report combines data from all the tools mentioned above and presents it together in a single chart.

SEO Chatter
As mentioned earlier, the SEO community has been relatively quiet so far, although that could change if ranking fluctuations continue to increase.
Here is what is currently being reported on WebmasterWorld:
‘’Let’s just say it like it is: Organic search is as good as dead. Anyone who relies on it is in big trouble. However, there are differences. Here in Germany, the situation isn’t as bad as it is in the U.S., at least judging by the comments here in the forum’’
‘’I think what a lot of people are seeing here is not just ranking volatility but traffic redistribution.’’
