Google says it can now block 20 times more scam pages than before, cutting these types of scams in Search by over 80%. This improvement comes from better scam detection tools powered by AI.
Google explained that the new AI systems help it quickly scan huge amounts of online text, spot organized scams, and catch new threats early to keep users safe.
One example Google gave was fake airline customer service scams. Scammers trick people into calling fake numbers. Thanks to the new system, Google says these scams are now showing up far less in search results.
This has been a problem for years, so it’s good news for users.
Google said these updates help make sure the links you click are real and protect you from sites trying to steal your personal info.
Google also updated its Safe Browsing tools in Chrome using Gemini Nano AI. On Android, Chrome now warns users about suspicious notifications. Plus, Google Messages and Phone by Google now have built-in scam detection powered by AI.
