YouTube Analytics Now Includes Saved Reports and a Fresh Interface

YouTube is updating its Advanced Mode analytics in YouTube Studio to make things easier for creators and marketers — especially those who don’t use these tools often.

The update includes a cleaner, simpler interface that’s easier to navigate, without taking away important features. One of the standout additions is the ability to save custom reports, making it quicker to access the data you care about most.

New Interface

YouTube’s analytics team recently shared a video walkthrough of the latest updates, highlighting key improvements to the platform’s Advanced Mode. You can watch the full breakdown below:

The updated layout features a new sidebar that brings together filters, breakdowns, and metric selectors in one convenient place. This makes it easier to adjust your view from any analytics page.

Save Your Favorite Reports

You can now save custom report setups, so you don’t have to reapply the same filters and metrics each time. It’s a big time-saver for tracking the data you check regularly.

Once you’ve set up a report the way you like, just click the “Save” button and give it a name. Your saved reports will appear in the top navigation and are only visible to you when you’re logged into that channel.

For example, if you regularly check traffic sources for long-form videos, you can save that specific setup and return to it anytime—no need to rebuild the report from scratch.

Smarter Search & Filtering

The latest update makes it easier to find and organize content in Advanced Mode. Here’s what’s new:

  • Search by Title – Quickly locate specific videos in your analytics.
  • New Sorting Options – Sort videos by length or publish date.
  • Multi-Metric Selection – Easily add or remove multiple metrics at once.
  • Hide Chart View – Focus just on data tables if you prefer a cleaner view.

The updated breakdown picker now includes more detailed options, like geography, content type, and revenue sources. Plus, new filters let you zero in on the most relevant data more easily than before.

Easier Access to Common Reports

YouTube has added shortcuts to frequently used reports, making it quicker to find the insights you need. These include:

  • First 24 Hours – See how your video performed during its first day after publishing.
  • Audience Retention – Get quick access to viewer engagement and watch-time data.
  • Comparison Tools – Easily compare metrics across videos, content groups, or audience segments like age and gender.

Just like custom reports, these can also be saved for future use, so you don’t have to set them up again each time.

Why This Matters

These updates make it much easier to track performance without constantly reconfiguring your data views.

For example, the new ability to compare playlists or demographic groups can help guide more targeted content planning. Saved reports also simplify recurring tasks like client reporting or internal reviews.

Plus, with the built-in comparison tools, teams can test different formats or strategies and quickly see what’s working best.

Availability

These updates are being rolled out gradually to creators. Once available on your channel, the redesigned Advanced Mode will be accessible from any analytics page in YouTube Studio.
