Copy of Experience Marketing Excellence Virtual Finalist Event GIF 4 - Globital Awarded Second Place At The 2020 AMI Awards In The Customer Experience Category

The Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) recently awarded Globital second place in the Customer Experience category for Queensland at the AMI 2020 awards. It is a great honour for us at Globital to be acknowledged amongst our industry counterparts for excellent marketing practices that benefit our clients.

This year’s award is particularly meaningful for the organisation because it recognises the significant internal strategic improvements that have been successfully implemented over the past 18 months, to enhance the experience that our customers are receiving from their resource partner.

Damian Papworth, Managing Director at Globital, said, “Our Customer Experience Campaign, was designed to improve client retention and revenue growth by nurturing and encouraging trust between our teams and the digital agencies that we support. We created and systemised a cycle that collected feedback, interpreted issues and implemented resolutions in a manner that was demonstrable to those agencies.”

The first step in our three-pronged approach was the achievement of the globally recognised ISO certification for Quality Assurance. This certification was critical because it represents our pledge to assure all our clients that they will get the same level of excellence in customer experience every time should they partner with us at Globital.

The next step was the implementation of the Online Customer Service Support team and function that runs independently from the Globital Operations team. The role of this team is to provide ongoing problem-solving support to agencies on their projects, outcomes and expectations.

The final step was the introduction of the Net Promoter Score Program to our Customer Services Support team. This step enables our research and development team to get a direct line of feedback from our customers. With this feedback from our customers, we can continuously improve our product offerings, customer services and execution of products.

Another one of the significant results of this campaign was the creation of a Facebook group called the Digital Marketing Dream Team – a group of like-minded digital agencies around the world that has been particularly instrumental in helping digital agency owners to navigate the unprecedented times brought on by Covid-19.

This year the AMI Awards were hosted as a virtual event that showcased the winners for 18 campaign categories and eight special awards.

“We are very excited and honoured as an organisation, to be recognised by such a distinguished institution for the hard work and commitment demonstrated by our team to deliver an experience that delights digital agencies and assists them to service their clients better,” Papworth concluded.

Dubae 2018 - Senior Management Converge On Dubai For The Annual Managers Conference 2018

The month of October saw the annual Senior Management trip to Dubai to discuss the current and future prospects of Globital. During this corporate conference, with the aim of realigning the company, Managing Director Damian Papworth, Director of Operations in Pakistan Asjad Afzal and South Africa’s Director of Operations Steven Slotow broke down the current state of their respective operations in their countries, highlighting challenges and opportunities observed throughout the year in order to close in gaps and identify viable avenues for future success.

As senior managers, this conference is invaluable, not only to touch base with each other but more importantly, to develop and build sustainable strategies and goals that will build and strengthen internal operations as well as better understand the needs of our clients. The purpose of the conference was to unpack Globital’s corporate goals in a manner that allows management to dissect where we’re winning and where we can improve and better meet the expectations of our employees in order to succeed in delivering quality solutions for our clients.

Steven Slotow shared some insights into the copywriting aspects of the business. “Our South African team are all experienced in their skills. Having developed robust and scalable systems that help our writers improve their writing to achieve the desired outcomes for our clients has meant major improvements”. The development of this department has assisted in drawing up strategies for better briefing processes and turnaround times that highlight the promise of service delivery.

“The Pakistan team now comprises of just over 150 employees which poses a unique challenge”, indicated Asjad. “However, challenges are always a door of opportunities. This sizeable operation has allowed us to harness the notion of team effort and support the business in a variety of our offerings in an impactful way”. As a company that aims to drive service, support and success, the road into 2019 has never looked better.

With plans of seeing the bigger picture of Globital’s future, Damian reiterated the need to capture the essence of the company’s brand and identity. “ We are here to clarify our corporate goals and ensure that we meet the needs of our clients. In this, we will be heading into 2019 with a slightly different approach to our processes as well as in developing better strategies. The only way to do this is through two key elements; showing that agencies are not alone and that we are a community. As a global brand, we will continue standing for growth, leadership, accountability and driving success for all our clients.”

Adam Steen 3 - What Does Marketing & Freediving Have In Common?

The process of rebranding Globital is one of total rebirth and new opportunities for not just the resellers that the company supports, but also for the connections and relationships that we have built over the past few years.

One of these new connections that Globital is extremely proud to announce is its sponsorship of Australia’s top freediver, Adam Stern.

Globital MD Damian Papworth has a bit of experience with freediving himself and shares Adam’s passion for the sport. It’s this passion that led Damian to recognise the similarities between freediving and running a small business.

In the below video, Damian unpacks this not so subtle connection between freediving and running a small digital agency. In it, Damian explains how difficult and arduous freediving can be, bringing with it the pressures and sinking feelings of being overwhelmed and alone. Not so different to what many digital agency owners feel daily. Not a welcoming environment.

And just like Adam, explains Damian, in those moments we need to find that feeling of Zen and start performing at our peak, even though the weight of the world is on our shoulders.

We’re really excited to have Adam join the Globital family so that he can share the lessons and insights, that he has had during freediving, with our resellers so that they can get better at running their own businesses.

Sep 2018 Sales Clinic SA 1 - “Charge Up” Your Sales Clinic For Digital Marketers hosted in South Africa in 3 main industry cities

The first half of 2018 saw major strides for Globital as a company and business in general. With the success of the Digital Sales and Marketing Masterclass held in 4 Australian cities during the year, it was inevitable that a return to South Africa to bolster local agencies with an educational event there was soon to follow.

With the guidance of Globital’s CEO, Damian Papworth and the insights of the company’s Director of Operations, Steven Slotow from South Africa, the “Charge Up” Your Sales Clinic for Digital Marketers kicked off in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town during September 2018.

The full-day event was aimed at providing agencies with invaluable tools in sales strategies such predictable prospecting practices to ensure immediate identification of the right kind of clients as well as razor precision decision making when it comes to selecting those clients. All these in an effort to tailor their agencies growth plans.

Globital has always been at the forefront of investing in agencies and through events such as the clinic, business owners can drastically improve their ability to locate potential clients while nurturing their existing customers. “The potential growth of the South African digital landscape is one to look out for. Steven Slotow added, “Understanding your audience is always the first step to attracting the right fit for your business. To draw up opportunities for success, you need to have a no fear navigator”.

Of course, we and all our country brands’ main focus is to provide digital marketing agencies around the world with a reliable, professional and affordable white label digital marketing solution, and we’re proud to say that we never lose that focus or waiver from our mission.

In fact, we’re so proud of the difference that we’re making in the lives and businesses of these digital marketers, that one of the most common conversations we’re having with not just the agencies we support but with anybody in any industry who will listen is: “do you know anybody else who you think could benefit from engaging with us?”.

This is a conversation that we are regularly having with Business Coaches, Lawyers, Accountants, Tax Consultants…in fact anybody who has any sort of relationship with someone in the digital industry is an ideal referrer of business to Globital.

And we don’t just expect these referrals to come from goodwill or just because these people feel like it. In fact, we have an incredibly generous and industry-leading Affiliate program at Globital that rewards anyone who introduces a digital agency to us with a percentage of the amount that Globital nets from the business. And even better news, since many of our services recur every month, that’s an Affiliate fee that will recur month-after-month for the lifetime of the engagement.

Ed Plant is an old friend and colleague of our MD, Damian Papworth, and the two of them have developed a business relationship over the years that has seen one tossing tons of work to the other and back again, to each ones benefit through their respective Affiliate Programs.

Here’s Ed to tell you all about the success he has had as a member of our Affiliate network.

It’s about leveraging existing relationships you have going on anyway to better and more lucrative effect.

As you can see, Ed recognised the quality of work that Globital produced, but more importantly than that, he recognised that in his network there were a number of digital agencies that needed help in doing digital marketing in a better way. In his words “they needed to be able to get out of the mechanics of their product and do the service, customer interaction, sales and grow their business to the next level”.

Ed started referring business to Globital well before we even had our Affiliate program, but thanks to the Affiliate program, Ed is actually getting rewarded financially for the introductions he is making. Currently, Ed is earning AU$2000 per month (R20 000 per month) from his referrals, and due to the recurring nature of our engagement with the agencies that we’re supporting, that number is growing all the time, without ANY effort from Ed at all.

If the extra, effortless cash that Ed is earning every month is something that you feel like you could benefit from too in your business, and you’d like to become an Affiliate of Globital, we’ve made it incredibly easy.

IMG 0225 - Digital Sales and Marketing Masterclass hosted in 4 cities Australian cities to much praise from local agencies

Following the success of the Digital Sales and Marketing Masterclasses in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban in South Africa in 2017, CEO of Globital, Damian Papworth, spent the early months of 2018 rolling out the successful events throughout Australia as well.

Digital marketing agencies in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane all got the chance to experience the value shared during the 2-day event, in venues locally. As in South Africa, the content of the masterclass went a long way towards aiding the digital agencies that attended and teaching them sales strategies and lead generation techniques and offered them the chance to put together their very own 3-month sales strategy, unique and tailored to their agency’s needs.

“After the reaction that we got from the Masterclasses in South Africa, I just knew that Australian agencies would form a line to attend these events and take away the lessons that would help them boost their digital agency’s success. I wasn’t disappointed!” says Damian.

Of course, these masterclasses were more than just an opportunity for Damian and his local team to meet and network with the Resellers that Globital supports throughout Australia. They were in fact conceptualised and executed much more importantly as another way for Globital to support local digital agencies, not just in the outsourced execution of digital strategy, but more importantly in the education of how to run a better, more profitable digital agency, identify and close better and more ideal clients and in the end, generate more profit and scale for their business.

Digital Sales & Marketing Masterclass

In November 2017, Damian Papworth, CEO of Globital, and Steven Slotow, the company’s director of operations for South Africa, presented a Masterclass on helping the countries digital agencies to improve their sales and marketing efforts and find more success in 2018.

The Masterclass was presented in each of the country’s major cities, and was aimed at helping the agencies the company supports find effective and sustainable ways to ensure that they enjoy a never-ending flow of new leads and better business in the future.

Damian was excited about the Masterclass’ success, “Our business is focused on helping and supporting our clients. When they grow, our company can do the same, and opportunities like this Masterclass give our agencies a clear way forward to that success.”

When asked about choosing South Africa as the first country to host his Masterclass, Damian had the following to say, “South Africa is a country of diversity, and we can see that diversity clearly in its digital marketing industry. While this is great, many small to medium agencies, like the agencies we support, often struggle, as they are sometimes too specialized and focused on their trade, never able to master the most important business skill of all: generating leads and closing sales. A big part of the Masterclass was showing them what they can do to offer their services to a wider range of clients. That means that the Masterclass had to stand up to these challenges, and I’m really happy with the results.”

Steven Slotow, affirmed Damian’s sentiments, “Our processes and best practices are set up in such a way as to provide a wide range of digital marketing services to our agencies. By helping them find a way to offer our services in the same way, we can help them grow, which in turn is great for our business. I think it comes down to the fact that we believe strongly in creating a mutually beneficial relationship with our clients, which offers constant benefits, which I think this Masterclass succeeded at spectacularly.”

While digital marketing played a large part in the class, it also focused on sales best practices, which was a firm favourite for the crowd, according to Steven. “So many attendants came up to us, full of excitement about how they couldn’t wait to implement Damian’s sales best practices into their own daily activities.”

Damian will now be facilitating the same Masterclass in 2018 throughout Australia to support the agencies that the company engages with there.
